Schedules of some minibus routes to change as of June 1
With the start of active beach and tourism season, minibuses will start running according to summer schedules as of June 1.
Changes in minibus routes in summer season
Minibus route No. 200 Railway Terminal Square – Vecdaugava
During the summer period, from June 1 till August 31 this year, some minibuses will run to the terminal in Vecāķi with 8-9 minute interval to provide passengers with a comfortable means of transportation to Vecāķi beach. In summer period, on workdays from 9.00 till 20.00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00 till 22.00, some minibuses will run to the terminal. On holidays, minibuses will run with 9-10 minute interval. If there are many passengers wishing to go to Vecāķi, additional runs to Vecāķi will be provided. There will be also minor changes in minibus schedules.
Minibus route No. 204 Centre – Jugla
Minibus route No. 209 Purvciems – Rumbula
As holidays in schools and universities begin, changes will be made in Saturday’s schedule of minibus route No. 204 for the summer period from June 1 till August 31. Schedules of minibus route No. 209 for the summer period will be changed both on working days and holidays.
Minibus route No. 237 Esplanade – Imanta
Minibus route No. 241 Centre – Airport
In summer, schedules of minibus route No. 237 will be changed both on working days and holidays. The number of runs on working days will not change. As the number of tourists increases in summer, the number of runs on minibus route No. 241 will be increased on working days, and minibuses will run from Riga International Airport to the city centre more frequently.
Changes in minibus routes No. 216, 222 and 263
Minibus route No. 216 Centre – Ķengarags
Given the growing passenger flow on minibus route No. 216, minibuses on this route will run more frequently both on working days and holidays. With the start of active tourism season and expected increase in passenger flow, the working day schedule of minibus route No. 222 will be changed. The number of runs and minibuses on the route on working days will be increased. Given passengers’ habits and specifics of passenger flow, the working day schedule of bus route No. 263 will be changed to make it more convenient for passengers. The number of minibuses and runs will not change.
